Join us for Central PA's first DG Footlights™ series!

Please join us on Thursday, February 9 at 7pm for a DG Footlights™ reading of The Haunted Train (a play with music) by Randy Gross at the Open Stage of Harrisburg.

Thursday, February 9
EST: 7pm

Synopsis: "Both drama and dark humor combine with song in the story of Cloyd, a mental patient hospitalized at what used to be a maximum-security prison. When Cloyd is convinced by the ghost of a wrongly-convicted death row inmate to report the hospital’s abuses to a local investigative reporter, he finds himself pitted against Dr. Barnes, the sadistic chief administrator at Rockland Psychiatric, who regularly makes use of solitary confinement – and an inoperable electric chair known as Old Hickory– as his go-to means of punishment."

Running time: 2 hours
Themes: This play dramatizes human nature and its failings. To highlight injustices within our criminal justice and mental health systems, while giving voice to the voiceless.

DG Footlights™ is a program, created and moderated by the Dramatists Guild, that connects dramatists with free space in which to hold a public reading of a new work that is currently in development. This initiative operates on a space-grant model: a representative from the Guild will arrange for a venue to donate space during allocated dates and times, and will ensure that the space is available for dramatists to use to present a self-produced reading to the public, with an optional feedback session following the reading.

Attendance is always free and open to all.
