End of Play.® 2023 National Kick Off
Join the Dramatists Guild for a nationwide Kick Off event to celebrate our fourth annual End of Play.® National Playwriting and Composing Month!

Participants all around the globe are invited to take part in this three-part event designed to fuel inspiration and help you get ready to write!
This FREE event and open to everyone.
Part 1: Introduction to End of Play
All registered participants will be welcomed by Emmanuel Wilson, (DG Executive Director of Creative Affairs), Jordan Stovall (Co-Administrator of End of Play/Director of Outreach & Institutional Partnerships), Lily Dwoskin (Co-Administrator of End of Play/Office Manager), and Deborah Zoe Laufer (playwright and DG Council member).
We'll give you a chance to check in, share your writing goals, and meet others on the call. Then, we'll launch into some rapid response writing to get your creativity flowing!
Part 2: Write Fast: Rapid Response Writing
Dominic D'Andrea (playwright and New York State Regional Rep) will host "Write Fast!" -- a rapid response writing challenge! You'll be guided through a series of five-minute rapid writing prompts designed by a group of inspiring writers.

Part 3: Pens Up!
After making it through our series of five-minute prompts, we'll get ready to officially begin our End of Play writing challenge for this year's National Playwriting and Composing Month.

End of Play.® is an annual initiative, created by the Dramatists Guild, to incentivize the completion of new plays, scores, or songs throughout the month of April.
